What is Mindfulness? and examples of it
So what does mindfulness mean first of all? Well it technically means to pay more attention to your mind and spend more time with your mind. I’m guessing that none of us are doing that much of that now because of the covid-19.Here are a few examples of mindfulness:
❏Doing yoga.
❏Taking deep breaths while thinking about life
❏Making a private journal to let all your inner thoughts
out.
❏Wake up early to spend more time enjoying life.
❏Start the day with a big smile.
❏Stay positive, happy, and calm no matter what.
You can try some of these examples to keep calm and stay calm or if you want you want your mind to cooperate with you. Why is Mindfulness good for you? The main point of mindfulness is to relax and concentrate on what we have planned! Why mindfulness is good for you. It is mostly good for you because it makes you calm, takes all the stress away, and it improves mental health that is why mindfulness is good for you..Thank you for reading!

Growth mindset v.s Fixed Mindset by Sahana J.

What is Fixed Mindset?

Fixed Mindset is a belief where you think that you are born a certain way and no matter what you will always be that way. This Belief can be good or bad. These students always want to give up when things get hard-they may run from challenges and see mistakes as failures. They spend their time bragging about how smart they are or how much talent they have instead of developing them.

Example #1: Lily is learning about decimals in her class. On her homework,
she got all of the questions wrong. She said” I am so bad at decimals, I will never pass the test”. After that day she never
paid attention in class and got a bad grade on the test.

This is an example of a bad belief.

Example#2: Lana always gets A+ on math tests. She brags to everyone that
she is amazing at math. She became so over-confident that she stopped studying on the math tests. One day she got a F- on her test. She Said” I am so bad at math”.
This is an example of someone believing that they are so good at something.

What is a Growth Mindset?
Growth Mindset is a way of thinking where you know you can do anything if you work hard, practice, take feedback, and learn from your mistakes. People who demonstrate a
growth mindset believe their abilities develop over time, and look out for opportunities to learn new things and never back away from a challenge.
Example: Latisha was learning tennis and wasn’t able to hit a single ball out of 33 tries. She said to herself I might not be good at tennis yet, but I can still practice a lot and become better. She started to go to the park every single day and practice tennis in the tennis courts. Sometimes she would even stay extra at tennis class just to get feedback from her teacher.
In Conclusion, a Growth Mindset will help
you achieve your goals.
Inspirational People Who Had a Growth Mindset and achieved great heights
Lindsey Stirling - violinist that plays a violin like a rockstar who overcame her disorder with her strong mental health and growth mindset
Wright Brothers- invented plane after many failure attempts
Alexander Graham- invented telephone after many attempts
Steve Jobs- College dropout but started Apple in his garage with 2 people and now its multi million dollar company
Elon Musk- CEO of Tesla
Michael Jordan- basketball player
Jeff Bezos- CEO of Amazon

Ibrahim Hamato- table tennis player without arms

What inspires me by Anushka

In movies, we all see heroes as strong cape wearing heroes that always seem to save the day. But what does it mean to be a hero? Michelle Obama was an inspiration for me to be so many things. She was a mom, a wife, first lady, a lawyer, and my inspiration.

Michelle Obama quoted, “Success isn’t about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives”. Trying to follow her words, when I joined EnthuZiastic, I aspired to make a difference in not only how I teach, but how others learn. I wanted to make a difference, and to do that, I became a teacher to share my knowledge and passion for everything I love to do today.

While she was First Lady, she did lots of things to change the world. She started the Hunger-Free Kids Act to make sure each child had the advantage of eating healthy food. She helped girls have the right to education, and even provided a variety of services to veterans.

I believe Michelle has helped me reach my goals to do everything I do today. Now, I ask myself one question: “What can I do to achieve what I want?” All I can do is keep learning, sharing experiences and being an EnthuZiast.-Anushka Punjabi

What inspires you?
Hello Every one, Here I am to share what inspires me. I get inspired by the people who I meet in my life.
My Motivators
Like any human being first inspiration for me started from home i.e from Parents. My father is a businessman run’s a Stationary Store in my hometown. My father became the businessman while he is in studying in school for the family need. He is a committed person and aims at Customer obsession and quality. His vision, positivity and energy aspires me and gives me boost to thrive for the goal. As a businessman he needs to interact with people with different mind sets, so the communication is a key skill. Understanding the People mindset is also a key to make the existing/new customer feel worth coming to the store and make a sale. There must be passion in understanding the customer needs and providing trust and assurance that they are in good hands for the service and the money. Staying grounded during high and low ‘s of life with courage on face to deal any situation inspires me.
Next inspiring person is my mother. She is home maker and has the desire to study and learn new things in her life. While we are in school, she learnt “How to speak in English”. I am impressed by her commitment to learn in the evenings after long day of house chores, cooking, managing kid’s homework etc. She pursued her personal interests in arts while rising us. She shared her art skills with her fellow women during our school ours. Her dedication and trust in relationships make me understand importance of it.
As a parent they do inspire me with their great parenting skills. I do try to amend their parenting techniques for my kids. I do get inspired by my life partner who puts 100:/: effort in what he aims at.
Coming to the outside world, I like to watch many personal interviews of the people listen to the up’s and downs of life, their patience and how they pulled it out. Now as a Parent, I am trying to inspire my kids to focus and stay committed in what they do. I inspire my kids by staying organized at home, cooking with a meal plan, timely attending my work & meetings, reading books, help the needy and keep in touch with near& dear. I inspire my kids by “showing them instead of telling”.
I strive to share my experiences and inspire friends and fellow parents in my networking groups.
What are you willing to do to get there?
All I can do is to continue being a good listener, and enthuZiastic learner in the journey of life.
Keep Sharing, Keep Growing, Keep Inspiring

Excellence in art by Mahek Agrawall

I’m, Mahek Agrawall, from Bhubaneshwar, Odisha .I was shot to the limelight many a times for winning national level art contests.
Let me share one of my experiences ,it was an contest where I sent my painting according to the given theme which was on eye donation. My painting met all the criteria of the jury and qualified at both district and state levels before the final round at the national level. I believe that an artist should follow the voice of her heart and imagination simultaneously. Themes and topics will fall into place by following the inspiration. I still remember that i was a small kid when i used to scribble my imaginations and delusions on papers. It was at that time my parents discovered my talent and creativity which wasn’t found in every other child out there. I’m thankful to them for understanding me and always having their back supporting me. I learnt art from 2 to 3 various tutors and sometimes i used to take a break from the art classes due to examinations and studies. But still I never took a break from art. Either i learnt art online or i practiced it myself. I have improved my art from nothing to the to the best of me. Here are some of my artworks which I made some years ago . Now, comes the Pandemic, for which none of us were prepared. For sometime I was clueless, because i didn’t know how to spend my quarantine period because one of my board examination paper was still left. But then i started with painting and studying alternatively. As of now I have shown major improvement in art. I have participated in many online art competitions during this quarantine period and have won many of them. I have utilized this quarantine period to bring out the best in me because we would never get such opportunity again. Still i would say, it's good to be a learner always. I always see myself as a learner. We artists cannot create anything if we consider ourselves as experts. There should always be a space for learning so that we can welcome new thoughts and imaginations. A human face is a canvas for the universe. Desire, grief, happiness, joy, excitement, anger, jealousy and all kinds of energies are reflected on a human's face. As an artist, I try to read, interpret and paint them with my understanding. I also believe interpreting a thought is a form of meditation. Meditation can be of two types I would say. Either you follow the discipline of meditation and interpret thoughts. Or you interpret thoughts on canvas which is the discipline of 'karma'. It  works both ways for me.
I believe ,my most special portrait moment was when I had painted my mother. I gifted her portrait to her on mother’s day. She loved the painting and now it’s hung  up in our drawing room wall. Talking about artist empowerment and the status of artists these days. Art is inside everyone, but the artist is the one who follows it; rest leave it as a hobby. Our government is showing a good gesture towards art and culture by initiating national and international level platforms. Along with that, many people have come forward to support the artists independently over the years. Summing up, we can be hopeful with this but a lot more needs to be done for artist empowerment and sustainability. Here are some of my quarantine artworks.

My kid's name is Jagrav Shah. He is 5 years old and absolutely loves your summer camp. We have been taking these summer camps for the past 5 weeks. We really enjoyed each week and the unique theme enticed kids. And we love coming back for more.

This week he loved  learning about the "Where did dinosaurs go?". He went ahead and explained his grandparents over the video call about Pangaea and extinction taught to him by the Youth team. Cooking class was so much fun! It was a great mother-son cooking experience. We made the Bones in the bone investigation and Dino cookies together. And it was a fun project for us.

These camps are not only super fun but are so educational and informative for the kids. It is really all around development for kids. The circle time with Jyothi amma, Hindi and spanish classes, dance and yoga classes, Rubik cube and magic classes gives kids so many opportunities to learn different things under one single camp. Kudos to the team and youth instructor to handle the kids so well and keeping them interested. I am attaching the photos from Dino camp and Earth camp. Our green onions and Celery plants are thriving.

Motivation by Anya Pala

What is Motivation? Well, Motivation is the reason or reasons someone has for acting or behaving in a certain way. It is influenced by how much you want the goal, what you’ll gain, and your personal expectations. Motivation is important because it provides you with goals to work towards solving your problems, it helps you change old habits, and helps you deal with challenges and opportunities. You can get motivated to do something. Motivation is a good first step to starting great projects.
There is positive and negative motivation. Positive motivation focuses on the positive things that will happen when you take action. Such as, “If I finish and ace this test, I’ll get one step to getting an A+ in this class!” Negative motivation focuses on the negative things that will happen if you don’t take action. Such as, “If I don’t finish and pass this test, I’ll fail this class!!”
There are many ways to stay motivated. One way is to set goals. Goals give you a direction to focus on. Make sure to choose goals that interest you. You are much more likely to stay motivated if you have a goal that you really do want to achieve and work hard for. It is also good to find tasks that you really enjoy inside tasks that you are not interested in. For example, you can say “I really don’t like math, but it will help me become a teacher, which I really want to be when I grow up.” It is also good to tell others about your goal, or write it down, so it will help you try and reach towards your goal as you have basically made a promise to keep your word. Make sure to try and break up your goal into chunks to make it easier to work through, and don’t forget to reward yourself each time you reach the little chunks of your goal! It’s much easier to complete your goal with a friend or peer to help you.
Ways to stay on track and keep being motivated are to keep giving yourself positive reminders, such as “I can do this!” or “This step will be very fun!”  Make sure to write down each step you complete  so you can use it in the future to help achieve your other goals and share with others to motivate them!  Make sure to check your progress every time you complete a chunk to be proud, and don’t forget to keep on setting new goals! If you want to change a habit, make sure to find someone who is experienced to help, or join a group! It is also very helpful to surround yourself with positive people. Make sure to practice mindfulness and exercise for mental and physical health.
If you lose your motivation, here are ways that can help you get back on track. Make sure to check if your goal is achievable, and try breaking it down to even more achievable goals. Remember why you wanted to get motivated or tried to reach that goal in the first place. It is good to motivate yourself by reading a good book or watching a good movie. Sometimes, you just need to take a break and start fresh.
These are some ways to be motivated and understand motivation. It is good to search for nice websites if you are having trouble getting motivated. Remember to find your motivation! How about setting a goal right now? As long as you try your best, you shall succeed!

Corona Virus interpretation by Sayuri Karamuri

The coronavirus has become everyone’s fear, and here is my interpretation of it: I don’t like the virus because it is so deadly. My opinion is that the drug companies should make a drug that kills the virus. The way that they should proceed with this cure is to give it to the patients and insert it into their lungs so it can come out. Why is everyone staying outside? The reason is the coronavirus is so deadly so we try to keep our distance and that’s why we aren’t going to school or work. I don’t like the virus at all. Do you like the virus? Did you learn anything new during the quarantine? I’m pretty sure you don’t. To keep away from the virus try washing your hands more. Scientists say that this virus started from animals, and the only country that doesn’t have many cases is the Arctic. Many ways to prevent this virus is to not touch your face much because that’s where the virus can go inside your body. Where did it all come from? This virus started in China, and some say that it came from bats. I hope the coronavirus will never come again. I don’t want to miss school forever.

Look Within by Anushka Punjabi

What does it mean to Look Within?  There is no right answer, there’s only what’s true for you in the moment. For me, looking within means being in the moment and seeing the deeper detail and meaning in things.`
I wanted to explore the question of how can we be more present to ourselves and tune inwards, with guidance and with a practice of presence or “Looking within”.
This phrase appears in so many spiritual contexts, we get a sense of tuning inwards from different cultures and phrases like follow your instincts or your gut.
For most, this phrase translates to “Alright, I get it, look inwards. Now what?” We often know what it means to look within but not how to do this.
For the longest time, I thought to look within meant to think harder and become more analytical. Rather, with practice I found that looking within was a combination of the physical consciousness coupled with the quietness of the mind.
I admit that less thinking is not my default setting! I had to practice letting go of busy thoughts, anxious feelings, and quieten my body despite distractions.
Meditation can help with focusing on one’s thoughts or additionally gaining a quiet presence in your mind. Thinking less may be hard but eventually it will be helpful to you. How can you be more present to yourself? It can also be a self reflection or a way to tell how we are really feeling. That’s why you can feel unhappy in a beautiful area or happy in a gloomy area. It all has to do with looking within.
If you look to others for fulfillment, you will truly never be fulfilled. People spend their lives chasing things they think are missing from within themselves. We live in a world that encourages us to look outside of ourselves for friendships, happiness, peace, contentment - making us believe that the more we have the happier we will be and the better our lives will get.  Nothing external can really make you sad or happy. You need to choose whether you would want to be happy or sad. That is why looking within can be helpful. When we look within, we will discover that all the answers to the questions are within ourselves.
I was fortunate enough to be part of a children’s course on meditation called Anapana. At Anapana, we sit quietly for 45 minutes at a time and learn to focus on our breath and quieten our thoughts. It was hard at first - even my legs were pins and needles with the lack of constant movement! But after a few sessions I found it calming and understand what it means to be self-content. I learnt how important it is to listen to our inner voice and trust the messages of your heart. Meditating helps you gain your center and stay more focused. I find it extremely helpful and the best way to help us ‘Look Within’ and continue to meditate daily at the end of the day.
This is truly a powerful practice - it can help one to navigate situations, release tension and connect us more deeply with our own self. Giving oneself a moment of stillness is a gift, both to ourselves as well as others. This reset allows us to understand who we are, where we are, what we need, and how we feel allowing us to invite others to do the same.

The Difference Between a Human Calculator and a Real Mathematician by Shripriya Kalbhavi

Calculator Vs. Mathematician?
Often times, we’ve always tried so hard to be what we call “smart” because we think it makes us who we are as a person. Guess what? It’s not. Actually, when we try to be smart, we are thinking of solving math problems quickly, and getting them correct too, right? That’s not being smart. That’s being a calculator. And that’s not who we want to be. A calculator will solve any problem you give them super quickly, but that is because they don’t think while they solve it. They’re like computers - to solve the problem is written in their code. They won’t give it second thought.
But wait, you might think. I don’t want to be a calculator, but I do want to be someone everyone can look at and say, wow, that is one smart human being. How do I do that?
You can do this by being a mathematician. But a mathematician is no different than a calculator. They’ll solve problems too. They’ll be smart.
But that’s not true. Mathematicians are smart people. They will solve problems too. So you’re right about that. But, what mainly distinguishes them from calculators is how they think while they solve problems. Mathematicians don’t blindly write statements, equations, or numbers down. They think carefully about what they are doing. For example, when Carl Gauss discovered the Gauss formula as a child, he didn’t just decide to pair up random numbers together. He thought about it first. He chose to pair up numbers that had the same sum as other numbers. Anyone, all you kids out there or adults, look at this. A young child discovered the sum of the first 100 counting numbers almost immediately his teacher told him to. So all of you people who want to be smart, put your thinking caps on. Let’s do a little math. What better way is there to exercise your thinking better than logic problems? Go ahead and solve the problems below.
